The Nyíregyháza Battery Factory is set to commence production by the year 2025

Sunwoda, one of the world's largest battery manufacturers, is set to establish its inaugural European plant in Nyíregyháza, a city in northeastern Hungary. This significant investment, totaling approximately 580 billion forints (EUR 1.51 billion), will generate numerous employment opportunities, as reported by Járműipar.
 
 
Ranked among the top ten battery manufacturers globally, Sunwoda is responding to the rising demand from Europe's automotive industry by venturing into Hungary. The company's initial investment for the first phase amounts to 93 billion forints (EUR 242.5 million), and when considering the subsequent construction phases, the long-term project will reach the impressive sum of 580 billion forints (EUR 1.51 billion), leading to the creation of numerous jobs in Nyíregyháza.
 

Sunwoda has announced its intent to construct its most advanced battery factory in Nyíregyháza, specifically in the Southern Industrial Park. Construction is slated to commence in the upcoming year, with production set to commence by the end of 2025.
