NTT DATA Business Solutions AG Acquires UK-based Sapphire to Strengthen Global Digital Operations
NTT DATA Business Solutions AG, a subsidiary of NTT DATA and a key global partner of SAP, has announced its acquisition of Sapphire, a UK-based provider of digital operations software and services. Sapphire primarily serves mid-market customers in the US and UK through partnerships with SAP, ServiceNow, Infor SunSystems, HxGN, and AWS. This strategic acquisition reinforces NTT DATA Business Solutions' commitment to consolidating its leadership in the SAP midmarket sector and establishing itself as a premier provider in the SAP SI market for major clients, while also emerging as an advanced digital operations solutions provider for mid-market customers.
Norbert Rotter, CEO of NTT DATA Business Solutions and EVP NTT DATA, Inc., expressed excitement about leveraging Sapphire's potential, especially its capabilities in the ServiceNow partnership. Rotter highlighted that the expertise of Sapphire aligns with NTT DATA Business Solutions' goals and will enable comprehensive service delivery in the UK and US SME market. The acquisition is expected to increase market share in these key focus countries.
With this acquisition, over 1,200 existing customers, with an average 7-year relationship with Sapphire, will transition to the NTT/NTT DATA Group. Justin Brading, EVP of Western Europe and Managing Director UK&I for NTT DATA Business Solutions, emphasized the significant addition of Sapphire's SAP midmarket capabilities, making NTT DATA Business Solutions the only SAP partner capable of serving enterprise and mid-market customer needs consistently.
Sapphire's primary markets are the UK and US, providing NTT DATA Business Solutions with a strategic opportunity for expansion in these countries. Steve Niesman, EVP and President Americas Region for NTT DATA Business Solutions, highlighted that Sapphire will enhance their move into SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, a mutual priority for both SAP and NTT DATA Business Solutions.
Vince De Luca, CEO of Sapphire, expressed enthusiasm about the transformative opportunity created by becoming part of NTT DATA Business Solutions.
