Netherlands plans to supply F-16s to Ukraine from autumn

According to a report from Delfi on Monday, the Netherlands intends to follow Denmark's lead by sending F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine starting this autumn. Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren revealed this plan during a joint briefing with her Lithuanian counterpart in Vilnius.

"We have everything organized according to the project, which involves training Ukrainian pilots, instructing maintenance personnel, and transferring actual aircraft," stated Ollongren. "As per the schedule, we have a training center in Romania, where we assist in initiating Ukrainian training. Currently, they are undergoing training in Denmark, the USA, and other countries. If we maintain this trajectory and everything progresses positively for Ukraine, then the first aircraft will be delivered by Denmark this summer. We hope to join in deliveries from autumn with our F-16s."
Earlier announcements from Minister Ollongren outlined plans to transfer 24 multi-purpose F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
