Patrick Amoako Nuamah Scores as Brescia Falls 3-1 to Monza in Coppa Italia

Italian-born Ghanaian talent Patrick Amoako Nuamah made a notable impact after coming off the bench, scoring Brescia Calcio’s only goal in their 3-1 loss to Monza in the Coppa Italia on Thursday evening at U-Power Stadium.

Nuamah, who substituted for Giacomo Olzer at halftime, found the net in the 68th minute with a well-placed left-footed shot from the center of the box, thanks to an assist from Ante Juric. Although his goal reduced the deficit, Brescia was unable to mount a comeback.

Monza established an early lead, with Georgios Kyriakopoulos scoring in the 5th minute, followed by Matteo Pessina doubling the advantage just six minutes later. Gianluca Caprari added a third goal from the penalty spot in the 40th minute, leaving Brescia facing an uphill battle.

Monza's English-born Ghanaian player, Omari Forson, also participated in the match as his team controlled possession and created more scoring opportunities.

Brescia will now shift their focus to their Serie B matchup against Cremonese on September 30, aiming to bounce back after their elimination from the Coppa Italia.
