AC Milan Focuses on Contract Renewals While Eyeing January Transfer Market
AC Milan is actively seeking reinforcements for the January transfer market, but the club management is also prioritizing contract renewals for key players.

Mike Maignan
The French goalkeeper is nearing a contract renewal. Currently earning 3.2 million euros net per season, Maignan has requested a salary increase. His contract runs until the summer of 2026, and discussions are underway. The renewal is expected to finalize around 6 million euros, including bonuses.
Tijjani Reijnders
The Dutch midfielder, under contract until 2028, is also nearing an agreement for an extension. Reijnders, who currently earns 1.7 million euros net per season, has requested a substantial raise, which reflects his strong performances for the Rossoneri. The new deal, which would extend his contract by two years, is expected to be worth around 3.5 million euros net annually.
Matteo Gabbia
The renewal with Gabbia is practically confirmed, with only the official announcement pending. The defender, who currently earns just under 1 million euros net, has been steadily rising in the defensive ranks. His new contract is expected to run until 2029, with a salary increase to over 2 million euros.
Theo Hernandez
The situation for Hernandez is different. While both the player and the club are keen on continuing their relationship, no agreement has been reached yet. The left-back currently earns 4.5 million euros net per season, with his contract expiring in June 2026. Hernandez’s representatives initially demanded over 8 million euros per season (including bonuses) for a new deal until 2029, seeking a contract similar to that of Rafael Leao.
