Rome Incident: Man, 59, Injured in Bus Stop Attack on Prenestina

Late Monday afternoon, a violent assault took place at Via Prenestina, number 244, near a public transport stop. A 59-year-old man sustained injuries to his face and body, which were later assessed to require around 40 days for recovery.

Officers from the Prenestino unit of the Rome local police quickly arrived at the scene and assisted the victim, who stated that he had been attacked with punches and kicks.

The city police promptly apprehended the assailant, a 31-year-old Italian man who was found without identification documents. He was taken to the local police station for verification. Following the checks and notification to the judicial authorities, the 31-year-old was officially charged with assault.
