Salling Group Taps TCS for AI-Driven Cloud and Digital Overhaul

AARHUS | MUMBAI, June 16, 2025 – Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with Salling Group, Denmark’s largest retailer. The collaboration aims to enhance sustainability, drive technological innovation, and improve operational efficiency across the Group’s operations.

The partnership will support Salling Group’s 2,100 stores, brands, and 68,000 employees across Denmark, Poland, Germany, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia. It includes well-known retail brands such as føtex, Bilka, Netto, RIMI Baltic, BR toy stores, and franchise operations like Carl’s Jr. and Starbucks.
 
 
As part of the agreement, TCS will lead the Group’s cloud adoption efforts and streamline operations to achieve greater agility, scalability, and sustainability. A key focus will be enhancing Salling Group’s e-commerce platforms to better meet evolving consumer expectations.

TCS will deploy its AI-enabled Cloud Exponence platform, which follows a Machine First™ approach to optimize human-machine collaboration. The platform delivers smart managed services across hybrid cloud environments, leveraging AI and intelligent automation to reduce operational overhead, enhance service consistency, and ensure built-in security and compliance.
