Dark Electronica, Pop Antics, and Deep Emotionality – American Duo Missio to Perform at Kraków
The American duo Missio knows how to blend diverse sonic influences with a strong sense of humor. Audiences will be able to see for themselves on August 17th, when the band performs at Kraków's Za?cianek club. They will be joined by Czech group I Love You Honey Bunny.

Missio is currently one of the most intriguing projects straddling the line between alternative pop and dark electronica. Formed in Austin in 2014 by vocalist Matthew Brue and producer David Butler, the duo has gone from niche experimentation to mainstream success, amassing over a billion streams.
Their work is not only about music but above all a sincere, often painful lyrical account of struggles with addiction and mental health issues. The name "Missio" comes from the Latin word for "mission" – a term that holds personal meaning for Brue and Butler, alluding to the former's time recovering from alcohol addiction.
The duo's breakthrough came in 2017 with the release of their debut album, Loner. The album spawned the rebellious anthem "Middle Fingers," which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. Subsequent releases, such as The Darker The Weather // The Better The Man and VILLAIN, cemented the group's position as masters of creating dense, synth-driven atmospheres paired with lyrics that allow fans to connect with their own struggles.
Missio has toured the globe, performing at Lollapalooza, Rock for People, and Download, as well as sharing stages with acts such as MUSE, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Yungblud, K.Flay, and Nothing But Thieves. Their latest album, Love & Heartbreak, is scheduled for release on July 3rd. Just over a month later, the Americans will play two concerts in Poland, including the Kraków show on August 17th.
